A Change in Philosophy

In 2007 Dr. Fath was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that changed the direction of their lives in medicine, surgery and personal/spiritual outlook all together. Having three small children at the time, they decided to make some life changes that involved a lifestyle without dirt bikes and making plans to travel and see the world, fulfilling some dreams with a quest to find some answers. In taking time off and looking back at their American lifestyle, the Faths learned some things about the way they had been living. They realized that the American diet isn't just bad, it's atrocious and is getting worse. The worst part was that no one seemed to care, despite the life

threatening consequences. Convenience dictated the American diet rather than health and food was no longer about nutrition but about stopping the hunger even if the food people were eating wasn't really food at all but instead a chemical labeled as food. Fresh food had become something of the past and gardens were nostalgic things that grandparents worked in, not you or your neighbor. In addition, they realized that in all of Dr. Fath's medical training, he'd never been trained in basic nutrition, even in Bariatric Surgery. Instead, his medical training and practice had been symptom based instead of cure focused. The symptoms he was treating in all his years of surgery were in fact warning signs from the body trying to communicate that there was a much larger problem. In most cases, the problem was malnutrition. Modern medicine stops the pain and considers itself a success without the origins of disease being treated. Unfortunately the disease often goes undiagnosed and evolves into an auto-immune disease, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, diabetes and of course, obesity as well as many, many more.

With those things in mind, upon returning to the states in 2014, Dr. Fath and Teresa decided to open a nutrition based wellness clinic that would help people understand the nature of their illnesses, treating the Mind and the Body and more importantly, how they can alter the course of their lives through nutrition based philosophies. Shortly after opening the business, Dr. Fath and Teresa joined the American Academy of Anti-Aging where Dr. Fath is currently in the process of completing a fellowship in Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine and Teresa is completing a certification as Lifestyle Coach in Diet and Nutrition.
